Ever year people all around the world wait for a list which is released by Mastercard’s Global Destination Cities Index that shows the most popular cities of each year.

This year, the list looked at 162 cities and compared the visitor volume and the average spend per day.

Dubai ranks 4th on the list of the most visited cities but it continues to be the top ranking destination city based on overnight visitor spend, with visitors spending a whopping $537 per day on average.

The top ten cities for international visitors in 2017 is below. However, the full list and breakouts are available here.

10. Seoul

Visitors – 9.54 million
Spending per day – AED 664

9. Istanbul

Visitors – 10.70 million
Spending per day – AED 396

8. Tokyo

Visitors – 11.93 million
Spending per day – AED 565

7. Kuala Lumpur

Visitors – 12.58 million
Spending per day – AED 455

6. New York

Visitors – 13.13 million
Spending per day – AED 539

5. Singapore

Visitors – 13. 91 million
Spending per day – AED 1,050

4. Dubai

Visitors – 15.79 million
Spending per day – AED 1,972

3. Paris

Visitors – 17.44 million
Spending per day – AED 1,105

2. London

Visitors – 19.83 million
Spending per day – AED 561

1. Bangkok

Visitors – 20.05 million
Spending per day – AED 635
